Why are so many riders getting reprimands? No one takes any notice of a reprimand, give a rider time + a fine, hit them in the kick, it hurts. Instead of a reprimand fine them their days riding fees + %'s. Then they will learn to go straight or ride them out

Just like when they complain there's too much racing =))
The stewards here need to really start getting tough on all sorts of what goes on here. Once they do things will take care of themselves largely. Like Piston Broke says If you hit em where it hurts things will change.
The stewards job will be made so much easier once they are feared by the people they are supposed to be policing- rather than telling them to be more careful.

just look at the way NSW and Vic stewards dish out penalties. oliver just copped one, schofield in sydney.
here..a slap on the wrist....
X(don't forget this messiah to the panel has been a steward here for 6 years.
what has he done in that time? do not forget he is only the deputy..has he flexed his muscle in the 6 years?
don't think so...i've never seen his name in print...except in the racebook.

The jocks only get fined here for dropping the hands or excessive use of the whip.
Demerit points I couldn't see working, too confusing for the people in charge. Only 1 solution ....Get Very tough on any form of interference. Suspensions. Olie got time in Melb on the weekend on Fiorente and he only moved in slightly right on the line. BANG suspended.
1) was cautioned and told to afford runners to his inside more racing room in future otherwise further action may be taken against him.

Anyway from what I can gather you are saying that stewards are too soft on apprentices and to tough on senior jocks?
I couldn't care less if Mr Taylor is approachable or not I don't want to have a beer with him, I want him to police racing, and what does approachable mean?

"his knowledge of being able to READ a race & judge what realygoes on out on the track , makes him agood choice"
If that is true then they must have had him on mute the entie time he has been on the panel

sadly he will or will become a "yes man" like most at pr/rwwa.
has he ever said.."hey brad, i think......" no, i don't think so.
i'm not knocking the guy but he does not want to be "liked and respected" he should be the feared bogey man....fair but harsh.
what chance has he got? pharqueing buckleys.
this is what you get when there is no new blood ANYWHERE in pr/rwwa.
We would have the cleanest racing in Australia they would be mortified
And from all the posts you do it is obvious you are with the stewards and rwwa.... To much biased and defensive.
