For those of you interested in what the master coach has to say.

This is a weekly interview he does with Whateley. 27th June... gerrard is away, interviews will resume shortly.  Buckley on-air this morning with Whateley discussing the following:

Socceroos’ failure at the World Cup, the coaching change that preceded it, and whether it’s the coach or the players that are accountable for scoring goals; Treloar’s double hammy injury, the mechanism and recovery, and for the team its “not as big a headache as you may imagine”; Options for Treloar’s replacement, “We have young players ready to come up”; Jeremy Cameron’s big hit and suspension, on-field violence in the 70s & 80s, “going back with the flight” is the last free hit in footy, self-preservation and courage; Top 4 spot is not significant at this stage of the season, more important is “which teams are in form heading through August”.

Master Coach ???? His record suggests that he is more of a master debater.
I usually listen to Chisel Face Buckley when the sleeping pills haven't kicked in and I need something extra to help me nod off.

Humble pie ?? More like "cold pies" .
You can always tell the supporters of teams that have not seen finals for a very very long time.
They hang on to the hope of getting "coach of the year" or maybe a "rising star" award to offset their team inadequecies. But I am not saying your one of those "Skid Mark" or you "Old Hendo". Haha.
    :)) :D

Crisp plays his 100th game this week.
Has been in career best form and can see him being instrumental in a Big win this weekend.

Money keeps coming for the Pies, now $1.44 with Ladbrokes, $1.46 with Sportsbet & $1.45 on Tabtouch.

I'm holding $500 at evens... I love wiggles fans :)

Just to show I am not a complete "anti Collingwood" person, I did enjoy watching and listening to Mason Cox on the Fox show called "get up". It is a great story and he did give a lot of insight into his journey into the AFL along with some funny tales.
Worth a look if you haven' t seen it already.

    It's funny you know.

I grew up in Bassendean in the 70's & 80's, played for Basso, loved Swanys (used to watch all 3 grades behind the goals) and loved getting home after the footy to watch the Pies.

I was 20 when the wiggles came along, and thought, awesome! AFL here, every 2nd week and the inaugural team had a big Swan Districts feel. I actually bought a wiggles jumper and went to the early games, when they were getting flogged.

Then... the Pies came to boobiaco, I listened to the morons abusing my hero Daicos and thought, fcuk these cnuts!.... I ripped that horrible jumper off and have despised the fools ever since.

I hope the lord has mercy on me when it comes to judgement day, and I'm not punished too harshly for my youthful brain fade.

There is a lot at stake in this game because most people are just not quite sure where both teams sit and the kangaroos vs swans game is equally intriguing.

I've seen enough the last two weeks to make me think the kangaroos are dropping away and the $1.75 about Sydney is a luxury price.

Melbourne -39.5 is the bet of the round for sure.

    Multi

    Carlton first to 25 points
    Melbourne -39.5
    Sydney win

    $7.50 looks juicy.

Hardly a supporter, just enjoyed watching footy at the highest level and peer pressure got the better of a young skids.

Didn't take me long to work out that I was surrounded by the most ignorant footy 'fans' in the land!

Can any of you lot shed some light on where the continual booing by the muppet crowd originated from?
Is it a sign of stupidity? I remember the Wildcats fans booing Melbourne when they won the premiership one year. It really is an embarrassment for us normal Sandgropers and when interstate, I never disclose that I'm actually from WA.

I played for Redcliffe in the seventies and eighties Skids remember losing a grand final to basso at a oval in the Swan valley I think in one of those years and maybe winning one against them at Steel Blue one year . Us and Basso always had a big rivalry . I remember think they were the Sutton twins

I was born black and white, was a black duck member during the early eighties and had some great Saturday nights in the rooms cheering on Toddy and the boys. The night Swans won the first grand final i took my son just 6 months old along to the members dressed in a black and white jump suit and to the mrs horror he was passed around the room over everyones head like in a mosh pit.

I was living in Sydney when the Wegirls were formed and would rather cut my left testicle off then follow them.

Gee that explains a lot about young hendo's lack of smarts, and his inability to support a proper footy team!!!!!!
I was born red and white so had to follow The Bulldogs locally, and recall many trips down from York to watch the clashes at Basso oval in the 60's and 70's. Magical WAFL times. When the eagles came along i actually continued barracking for the Saints as they had Sidebottom and Dietrich -laying the brand of footy i liked. Once Woosha got on the scene and nd stamped out a reputation as part of one of the greatest half back lines they will ever have (Worsfold, Brennan, MKenna) i was hooked.

THE BOOING...I was at a game in the early 90's and we were destroying Adelaide. Think they got about 6goals all game to our 25... a slaughter...and a weagle alongside me booed when they snapped a goal in the last term....along with half the crowd... So i asked him why do you do that 5hit??? his response was "everyone does. Its what separates us real eagles fans from you blow ins" or something similar. It took 2 mates to hold me back from getting up and beating the 5hit out of him...........but they somehow or other seem to think it is part of the game, part of their culture.......The dorkers aren't much better btw

I don't know why any of it is an issue. I cringe a little bit at games sometimes but I'm a big believer in you do you. If your own life is in order and you're happy none of that crap bothers you.

Good mate of mine, Grant (Grubby) Marchenko played for Redcliffe.

Yep, there were 4 Sutton brothers through the grades. We had 2 Ninyette brothers & 2 Hodder brothers in our team. We beat a Cloverdale side that had danny Penny and Bob DeGraff, amongst others, who went on to play League for Swans.

There were that many kids at Basso back in the day we had 2 teams in most age groups.

Know all the Chenko boys . Should say knew all the Chenko boys well with the untimely passing of the youngest one  years back. Our ruckman back then was Peter Satori who played for swans and went on to make a name for himself at Carlton

    Booing ???
Fair bit of booing in last nights match towards Dangerfield. Eagles fans voices carry a long way apparently.
As for squeaky clean pies fans who don't boo.
They just fill their empty VB cans with urine on the terraces of Victoria Park and hurl them at Scott Cummings when he lining up for a shot at goal.
    B-)

You're a couple of years older than me. Satori was a ripper!
My next door neighbor passed away about 6 years ago, big Swans fan too. He left me the jumper Satori wore in the '83 GF, he bought it at an auction up at the club after the game.

Basso had Brent Hutton taking screamers in the u/18s about then? We used to all stay and watch them play.
Geez some good players came out of our zone.

Sidies brother Wally coached us. We won the flag in 1989 I think it was, To this day still remain friends with the big man , who really is a bit of a legend of the game
