After that last race(5) why would you bet there? Fav jumps, walks 2nd fav out the back zero initiative from the jock.

The two 70+ races Fernie had half the field in each. It makes it hard to do speed maps!

May as well not run if they're gonna give the $2.3fav an uncontested lead

Race was set up for her by the top two in the market. She was in the right place at the right time.

General:  Apprentice F. Kersley (HAUL IN) was questioned regarding his riding in the early stages of the race and if there was an opportunity to cross to the running rail after commencing clear on the balance of the field, however, elected not to cross to the inside rail and to hold his position and as a consequence raced wide throughout.  Apprentice Kersley advised that he may have erred by not crossing after commencing well, however, received a call from runners to his inside and was reluctant to cross as in his opinion he may not have been fully clear and as such maintained his position and therefore the advantage gained at the start after 50m was lost when runners to his inside had improved rapidly and as a result was forced to raced wide throughout. Stewards acknowledged that he had erred in his tactics and have referred him to the Jockey Coaches for additional tutelage and advice.

The horse that led as a result of Fred not crossing to the fence was ridden by Uncle Dan who then went on to win the race.

    Kalgoorlie Geraldton same same.
Usually when a rider stands up in the irons (like Kersley did in the first 100m) it is usually when he is celebrating victory passing the post. Then he gets slapped with a fine.
The stewards lettuce leaf response in their report is laughable. AGAIN.

Advice and tutelage ??? They mean how to disguise it better.

If you can get suspended for bad judgement when causing interference, you should also get suspended for obvious bad judgement in positioning your mount. One protects jockey safety and the other punter safety.

jockey coach;... young fred you have had 417 rides for 33 wins...its our fault for not telling you previously when you jump three lengths clear out of the gates, the white thing on your left is called a running rail if you get along side it  and  follow it, its the shortest way home but don't tell any of the other apprentices.....

As the industry is decline its imperative that any stable that has more than one runner there tactics are in writing and then put in stewards reports so we can see nothing untorward has happened.....Same race casino belle  had led at its two previous starts running close to1.24.09 &1.24.12 has bounded in the air under a bull chocker kicks home its last  600 quicker then first and second in the race clockeing 1.26.19, 12 and bit lengths slower than its two previous starts,if you have forgotten its the punters that let you enjoy a horse existence,no punters and you will be racing for ribbons

I wish every horse I backed had that sort of lead after 50 metres.
You compare that debacle of a ride to Brad Parnhams on Variation and they are polar opposite.
But the stewards continue to allow these sorts of very questionable rides to go unpunished.
