That's the standard catchcry by Max Simmonds on course when he is relaying information to the punting faithful.

The countdown is in full swing, 5 more sleeps till the Broome season starts. And yes I am like a little kid leading up to Xmas Day.

As Big Kev used to say,

"I'm excited!"

But with a different tone of voice depending on whether the protest has been upheld or dismissed - if it was dismissed there would be no sense of urgency in his opening words - much appreciated when you're sweating on the result.

Unfortunately there will be no Max Simmonds calling at Broome tomorrow or the next few weeks at least...... David Wrensted will be calling the action.

It just won't be the same.

No pressure Wrenny, but in the 12 years I have been attending Max has never got a photo finish wrong.

hey bc4e, how do the perth jocks get up there....its pharqueing exy on a commercial flight. not enough of them for a charter.
saw Harold and Maureen Tracey at a funeral last week...their cost send my eyes watering. I know I paid 600 ONE WAY back to perth a few years ago..was right peeved as the plane was only half full.

Think you'll find trainers pay the flight. And turf club has a deal with virgin ?

Very few virgins in Broome Falcon. Club buys a heap at the start of the year for race dates, about $200 odd I think each way. Then trainers spread the cost of the jockey to the owners who use them.
