Perth Turf Talk & PUNTA is excited to announce the first Raceday Carnival on March 29th, featuring two Group 1 races with $100 betting prizemoney and a Group 2 worth $50.

Remember, qualify for these races and you're right in the running as you're only racing a handful of competitors for mega bucks.

You must nominate on the week of the 29th to be in the running otherwise your place in the field will go to the first emergency.

Races are as follows;

The top 8 ranked competitors with 5 starts or more will instantly qualify for this race.

The top 8 performed competitors on earnings this week (March 22nd) will qualify for this race.

    Whoohoo!  I made the Group 1 (OK, first test was counting the numbers above me above 3 start, so I may have failed already?).  But in saying that, considering the field, and the fact I was hand my hat by Bfaccy77 on Saturday, this could be embarrassing run...

    Maybe in the future, can we look at handicap races?  Melbourne Cup is still a good race?  b-(

    And, is Punta going to run markets on the race?

    If there is a tick next to your name on the leaderboard then you're currently qualified.

    hahaha...umm yeah just got the text through direct from them and they apologized for the mistake and it is $500 bucks for winning!!!! ;)

    It would be nice, but even the $5/week is pretty good for doing something that most of us do every Friday night or Saturday morning anyway...

    Never mind I would have lost anyway. Shoulda known world trader would be a bit skatey after runs so close together. Serves me right for being sentimental L-)

    Oh that's a relief, I've got a hair trigger touch screen anyway, the amount of times I've accidentally 'liked' someones dead pet sob story when scrolling on Facebook must be onto the double figures. =D>

    Pity it wasn't this week and a pity last years winner wasn't a automatic walk up starter into the top race as it would be an even greater day than it is.
    But as it stands it's next week and last years winner will probably have a similar week to the rest of his Ascot season so no point even loading him onto the float. Great comp. no matter where you sit on the  ladder is always good value watching the ladders change during the day.

    If you win the Group races you get automatic qualification for the next carnival so more than $50 on the line.
