I heard that one of the local bookies has had their phone betting license suspended for committing a most serious crime.

they were caught betting one of their clients TOP FLUC.

Yes, thats right. This kind of behaviour, betting clients good prices, surely has to be clamped down on by our government. Its detrimental to the industry, its competitive bookmaking and it shouldnt be allowed. It is bad for........hmmm........its bad because.........well.........its just not allowed.........how dare the local bookies be able to offer something that has been made readily available by corporate bookmakers for almost 10 years.

What? hang on? the government doesnt like corporate bookmakers? whats that?

No wonder racing in this state is rooted....

Agree SS...An absolute disgrace.. i hope the suspension is followed by a public flogging and leads to a full suspension for this heinous crime that no other bookmaker would ever be allowed to do..

Oh hang on........I think they are allowed to do that in every other state in Australia?? nah cant be right.

Oh hang on again..i think that RWWA agreed to implement these sort of changes to allow local bookmakers to be competitive with the rest of Australia, and that was all agreed to when they implemented the incredibly ridiculous carnival tax for the last 3 months of 2012..

What a load of CRAP..These imbecilic cretins are penalizing someone for doing something that they agreed we should be able to do, and they agreed to change the rules to allow them to do it..

Over zealous, self centered, pen pushing government twats just trying to justify their ridiculous salaries..

the sooner these cretins are removed from interfering with the racing industry the better off we will all be.

I need to apologise too..i think that it actually isn't RWWA, but a government licensing department attached to them that implements this sort of crap..My apologies if i accidentally put the boot into the wrong government department
