Tash Peterson is Melbourne based now I understand

She may well be but she was there today spewing her crazy

    Hahahaaha

For some reason im weirdly attracted to her. It must be the craziness (i have form in picking these ones) =))

    Like me you probably saw the half nude photos and videos of her online and seen she had a half decent rig pity about the filthy attitude 8-}

any idea who will take on Buster in Melbourne?

He will need to be trained similarly to how he is trained here.

    Lindsay Smith would be ideal.

    RIO dislikes this post.

I struggle to understand how less than 2,000 people attended the second running of the 2023 Perth Cup. Officially the press release said 2300 but that was compiled by someone lacking in basic mathematical skills.

So is there a limited endurance for the re-running of an event? Was it the unfortunate death in front of the crowd? Or simply is the 1st of January the ideal time to run this event when there is little or no competition from other events in Perth and the maximum number of visitors to the CBD who think that it is a cultural event and worth going?

The Perth Cup has struggled for an identity for a decade, ever since all the experimenting started from changing time honoured distances to the actual day it was on, at one point becoming a roulette wheel of dates according to the cheapest payroll.

Where the Club is now is that they have just hosted to the lowest crowd in 140 years.

    Something has to change.

    This cant be taken seriously.

it is nothing more than the change of date/ postponement. If any traditional Cup Day was transferred would see significant drop in crowds.

lets see how many people turn up for the delayed Magic Millions tomorrow.

or would expect a postponement to the Kalgoorlie, Broome Cups not to be hugely affected by crowds.

it is a cheap shot to credit them with the lowest crowd in 140 years, it might be true but absolutely driven by circumstances.

Magic Millions goes from a Saturday to a Thursday, that alone would impact on crowd numbers. Also many associated with the sales have left town as travel would have been arranged weeks earlier. No not quite the same.

In respect to Perth Cup, you don't think the event has lost its soul in the last decade ? It hardly rates a mention over East as an event and is treated like just another race on the card at a minor facility on its best day.

You may not like that but that is where it is at now.

I was told by people who went last Sat and are Waroa members, that they couldn't use there Waroa pass to get in until the gate staff where advised by these people that this was not a official Perth cup day,so how many did this happen to

Damian, you’d find a way to whinge if you won lotto. The change of dates Was simply the difference. Stop looking for an excuse to sink the boot in

Damien you have obviously not been out that much on New Year’s Day of late . There is a plethora of events in Perth on the day

Yes I was working here in Fremantle among thousands of people out and about, it was a hell of a trading day.

Not a chance Damien is more than welcome to his opinion which I respect but when all you do is knock an organisation your opinion becomes less relative. I would doubt there is too many people on this site who don't know Damiens gripe with the racing authorities.

Thanks Psycho for the clarification but if and when I have been supportive, it has largely gone unnoticed. I have always been a strong supporter of the WA Breeding Industry and the efforts of Magic Millions come sales time, that too largely goes unnoticed except by those with their own hidden agendas in knocking the latest Stallion prospect or having a whinge following poor sales results largely of their own making.

So its very selective on PTT and always has been.

Like I have said previously, I'm off East in coming weeks and sadly WA will fade from memory as I won't participate in any discussion once I have left the State.

Then that leads to my next question Damien. If you witnessed the amount of people out and about in Freo how come in your post above you state . The perfect time to run it due to lack of other functions and activities on new years day

When I first joined this site quite a while back I was a fan of yours Damo.

But since you have come back on PTT of late, everything you post is negative to FUKC. You have an axe to grind mate.
Your above post about your positivity you say
    >-)

    %-(
Everything you are positive about; I believe is where you previously earnt money from. You have an association with MM with your selections of their yearlings for a client. The Stallions you are talking about. Were you not trying to syndicate them.
    :-??
You have taken some phenomenal photos mate. I hope you continue with them in the east.
But please stop knocking WA racing.
