So how much is a slot setting you back ????
  • TheDivaTheDiva    13,248 posts

Im interested to know who they are. Im interested to see if they have a horse in their kick already

Find it a bit strange tabtouch are in considering they are the racing adjudicator (via rwwa)… imagine if there is a protest and the tabtouch horse is in the protest and got the better of the decesion? Not really arms length in my view and thats not throwing shade on anyone its just an observation of what could be perceived.

However, if i was them or PR i would be on the blower to nature strip, 100% of winnings are yours u just need to come. Will give the race some validity across the nation and the world

You just answered your own question

Huge effort for them to get all 3 races off the ground, hopefully the slot holders feel they get bang for their buck and it can be a massive success.

Not sure if you’re Beavis or Butthead but you’ve got NFI either way

Not that I have to explain myself to you. But I was previously on a race club committee, and he had no interest in our club moving forward or help in anyway when asked. He has no interest in any development of country racing IMO.
And this race club was his hometown. Why would you not try and help???????? If you were in a position to and choose not too.

Gareth Hall has a new show on SEN track called path to the Trilogy. Interesting one of the panelists had info on the RAM racing syndicate.  Apparently it’s 10 mates in a punters club gone in together to buy the slot with some even splitting up their 10% shares with other mates.  The RAM comes from a sponsorship with a RAM dealership in Rocko that is also involved.

dont quote me on exact details there but that’s the gist of it.  I think that’s sensational if normal blokes are getting involved like that.  Don’t think they will ever have any issues selling slots when they are up for grabs again if these blokes are advertised well which I’m sure they will be.

Gareth Hall on his show this morning was saying he’s of the understanding RWWA and Perth Racing will not be chartering a plane for eastern states horses.  So connections/slot holders would have to try and find space on flights around Easter school holidays and be up for the costs.

Basically this is going to be the Roma Cup but for $4million.

it sure is, whether Hall's "understanding" is kosher is problematic.
if its true it just proves that they still have nfi.

The date of the race makes it very difficult to get a horse here, but they might want to get here a month prior.

If this happens it will be a one year event and simply disappear. But that is not the only thing on Perth Racing's mind.

An exhibition gallop between races tomorrow by Vilana, to be ridden by #1 Jockey James Macdonald, was initially rejected by Stewards but now is back on again. It seems that someone at Perth Racing has hit the panic button in response to poor attendances across the Carnival to date, just some 11,000 in total, but with almost no chance of an exhibition gallop being seen by anyone other than those on course it seems almost a pointless exercise.

I'm on fairly safe ground but others dare not open their mouths, as the knives are out for someone to be the fall guy for another lackluster carnival. So you won't hear or read dissent from any quarter for fear of being black balled. I'm off Interstate to live in a few months and I don't go to the races so I don't give a toss, but this year needed to be better coming off covid excuses etc

Unlike you I’m not death riding it, I want it to be a huge success and they get some genuine stars here to contest it.  But the only way that can happen is if they arrange the transport.  Don’t forget there’s a $1million harness race on the Friday so they need ES representation for that also.

As far as you knocking of the current carnival.  You are the only person I’ve heard saying that, everywhere else it’s being loudly applauded.  And I’m not talking just tab radio, I mainly listen to eastern states radio and love a racing podcast all based eastern states and they all think it’s been great.  Also you’ve been questioned a few times, time to explain where you are getting attendance figures from that are wildly different from PR figurse

My numbers are factual, they are as real as they get. Everything you hear is from press release with a thumb on the edge of the scales. If actual numbers are reported, those media representatives will have their credentials withdrawn.

The Eastern States media comment only on what they see on their screens. They are both being blissfully ignorant but also polite.

But lets talk about what started this comment, Gareth Hall saying that transport was going to be non-existent. Unlike the Everest where there is considerable money to be made that covers expenses, this event is a little more of a close shave on costs and what I believe would be the response of most Owners would be, lets stay at home on the East Coast. Many would feel that they are only an outside chance of traveling a horse and it walking off the flight ultra competitive against locals doing nothing out of their routine. Training targets for those Gr 1 horses seeking Stallion credentials won't be made in a race like this, but they will at home. Its a case of too much to risk for just one race for most. Godolphin have made a long term undertaking for this carnival but with Stallion prospects that have failed to make the top tier on the East Coast.

Now I'm sure if someone from the media rang the high profile Trainers in both Melbourne and Sydney, they would get positive responses and some level of wavering commitment, but again they are just being polite. Nobody wishes to offend so they won't. All answers will be neutral and without commitment.

That is reality, what you talk about is day dreaming.

The chip on your shoulder is so large you can’t see past it.  I’ve asked you 2 questions recently and you won’t answer.
    1. Where are you accurate crowd numbers coming from that no one else has access to?

    2. Who is left at Perth racing that was there when you had your injustice?

In relation to getting good horses here, you only talk about stallions but they are rarely the best horses going and we don’t need them.  Nature Strip, Private Eye, Giga Kick are 3 geldings that would be huge quakka targets that would give the race massive credibility if they could make it here.  Bella Nippotina a mare they should target.  There would be plenty others but they need a way to get here

Do you think it is appropriate that I name people who have passed on information in confidence ? why should someone who gave accurate numbers be targeted.

Would you be satisfied by knowing their occupations, positions, or their names and addresses ?

Of course you make these demands whilst you yourself hide behind a pseudonym on a punters website. Do you see the irony ?

    To your second question.

Is it acceptable that organisations or public companies for that matter, have no case to answer to their stakeholders simply because they have changed personnel ? Does time lessen the actions of people who held office because they no longer hold those positions ?

There really has to be a reason why one of the richest locations in Australia cannot go forward at the same pace as Sydney or Melbourne and in fact falls further behind every year.

You talk about horses that may come here breathlessly like a junior in a public relations firm.

    Keep living the fantasy.

The move is permanent totally unrelated to any sport.

Sorry to be leaving WA, from a photographic perspective this State has a wonderful palate of colour to capture.

I doubt I will have any connection to the Equine Industry going forward, I will be just too far from The Hunter for it to be a realistic proposition and those contacts I do have in the East are all in Sydney and that will be also out of my area.

I never asked who you are getting crowd figures from I asked where.  But after thinking about it your figures are clearly incorrect and laughably so.  You say 11k through the gates before Saturday for the carnival.  That’s an average of 3.5k a day.  Railway stakes would easily have had 7-8k so your saying under 2k for the Winterbottom and Placid Arc days.  No one who was at these days would agree with this

Really?  Literally heard Geoff Walsh and Simon Miller all morning say she’s basically run her last race in WA. Next targets are All Star Mile in the autumn and Golden Eagle in the spring and the lead ups to these races will be up to Simon but presumably east coast races

Hope something has changed but would be a quick turnarounf

Fantastic, if no ES horses come which looks likely it’s a good choice.  If they organise a flight though I’d be dead against her
