Genuine question- who does everyone think should win? Is it based off one media piece or is it a result of all media work?

question....why is he not on the list?

Is it because he’s employed by RWWA?  I’m not 100% on if he is and others in that list aren’t but that would make sense. Imagine if the AFL awarded best AFL media performer as Damian Barrett. …….actually they would have the nerve to do that

Think Precision’s on the money. And would be a worthy winner let alone nomination

Why do RWWA put up the people for nomination . Muldoon ?

Go back & read what I said, I said if a problem with the nomination, take it up with RWWA, never siad anything about them involved in the nomination

By taking it up with RWWA, my reasoning, is he is was warned off by the Officialdom, so he is eligble to attend, work within industry (albeit non licence position), so hence he has been nominated for work involved with racing

So if you have a problem with him still being involved with racing, it goes back to RWWA who set the penalty (or non penalty, depends where you sit on that)

we were mentioning warren batty after which the old grey matter kicked in about another warren.
warren hughes, a little fella who'd weigh 50kg wringing wet. i think he was mixed up in that matter when a group were entertaining a young lady in some old granny flat. finished up going to court.
i think he re-located to adelaide with a young apprentice jock he was socialising with.
i wonder where he is? hash might know...

Just did that. Very disappointing. The Guru will now be my favourite host.

A former racing official who ran a scam to siphon more than $30,000 from his employer by creating false scratching fees has been given an eight-month suspended jail sentence.

As BJ’s mum I would like to say that in the ten years since this happened,my son has changed his life around. He has paid RWWA back has served his community service. He has worked hard to make a living through his love of racing. The One One podcast that he and Terry started up has a wonderful following of racing personnel and people interested in racing. His father and myself are so very proud of our son and of the respect he has now built up among the racing community. Those of you who think he got off too easy, have never lived a day in his life. Everyone deserves a second chance.

So maybe if Stuart shenton had his mum defend in a public forum then maybe everyone would of said it’s ok and well done everyone deserves a second chance .Amazing how it’s one rule for some and one for others

  • Firstly Aussiereds72 your an uniformed imbecile. I’m not defending BJ as simply he was punished and he he served his punishment end of story. What I will say is I know him through his work outside of racing in another industry no one even knows about. This isn’t an exaggeration but he personally has been responsible for guiding 100’s of men out of addiction and continues to do so. His integrity since his rehabilitation undeniable. He gives more time to this side of his life than he does his professional career.
I suggest you take your issue up with RWWA but they along will everyone understands he was a top bloke just caught up addiction. This other man you speak, how is he unselfishly serving the community post there low point in life ? BJ is a deadset legend and helped save my life.
