Nice win by Fabergino. Back to back wins in the Listed Bob Hoysted handicap. All five stakes wins have been at Listed level and 3 of them have been at the Flemington 1000m

Carleen Hefel back in Vic, 1st ride steers an 11 yo home a winner.  =D>

Special mention to the handlers who clearly love the old horse to bits.

Good to see a Melbourne Cup placegetter (So You Think) sire the Adelaide Cup winner......Good Idea, and it was also good to see a Melbourne Cup winner (Americain) sire the Adelaide Cup runner-up.....Eperdument.

Americain won the 2010 Melbourne Cup. In 3rd place was So You Think.

Entriviere will be in Sydney next month. She's a weapon.

I see Waller has taken over training Tinker Mcphee from NZ, this filly by Nostradamus goes quite good and is still a work in progress, interesting to see how far she can go in their stable she runs in R5 today at the Kenso track.

Te Akau Racing has a plenty of strong chances in again at Ellerslie except in the Auckland Cup where they have just the one rough ew hope..reckon Sound can win that race with only 57 on a 55 limit.
Melody Belle is back Avantage is an opponent this time and about four others from that debacle last start.Bit cagey on the change of jock but it sounds like Bosson was replaced but he goes straight onto Avantage anyway, a wet track predicted suits MB she has a better 2000m pedigree than Avantage too.
Dominates the 2 yo old race they should win that plus there is a tip around for Exalatation in R4 at decent odds of around 6.50+

Seems like every week they have live chances in all the big races.

I've backed Royal Performer at every start this prep so will have to stick. Harder today though. Advantage is flying and MB was out of sorts last time.

Interesting runner in the last is Force Of Will. When it won its last race, thought it had Oaks stamped all over it but  been over a month since it last ran. Wonder if they are targeting a trip over east? Belt Road and Joy Alone will give it a stiff test though.

Agree the two year olds. Can't see Richards not winning.

Levante too short but should win, In R4 Wheao and Tia D'or are up and coming stayers, Ripped gets one more chance, I like Lelawala and although Justacanta is poorly weighted, is at a decent price. Remington is also a smokey in that as wasn't beaten far and meets most on far better weight terms.

Probably not one winner there but we'll be trying.

Ahh R3 you meant for Tia and Wheao.
R5 Lelawala and the other two are in R8..for all your followers Swoop made a bird of it where there engaged
Knowing you there will be a couple. ;)

    And.....Wheao salutes in R3 at $19 odd =D>

Great House how weak, maybe needs more ground(should have sent it to the Valley R1 Chris Waller!)was flat as a tack today ugghhh...

Stewards asked for a please explain from Teo Nugent  for handing up the lead at the winning post in the first ?
To me that was a bit of a head scratcher considering the horse on the outside was half a length in front all the way up thestraight the first time.
If that was Ascot it would definitely be a “nothing to see here”
If you compare that to the Solaia race where Warwick handed up with 700m to go this hand up was with still a lap to go.
    Go figure.

What the fugg was that sh!t on too close to the sun.
Betting drift told the tale. As soon as the overhead showed it jumped 3rd last I knew why the betting drift was going to plan.
    Déjà vu Testing Love Solaia,

thankfully i steered clear of TCTS..and missed the race due to having to go vote(ffs) Maybe stating the obvious but i find the Valley is dynamite for a punt.
AND Zerafa was on it for his Let It Ride bet, these fkrs can stop one be sure of that.

are you backing Solaia today Det? :P

Melody Belle wrights the shitfight from last start and far too good, Avantage provides a Richards quinella, gee she put a space into Royal Performer after that bastard bumped her out of the way straightening what a beauty and 15 group 1's is some feat even if not true greatness.

A very good horse. Colellte is over rated.

Wet track pony Swoop is Collette.

Boaty race at the Valley just now......RUBBISH ride by Egan i could have steered the fav as BAD as he did.

Can’t take a trick at the moment TS.
Solaia. Haha. Yes I will be on cause I am a sucker for punishment.
And I will be on Hungry Heart in Sydney cause I want to feel real punishment.
I put them in an all up cause that will be the ultimate pain.

Oh and the trainer did declare Melody Belle earlier in the week and of course I wasn’t on it so stick bamboo under my fingernails cause that would be less painful.

    Cheques and balances ??
  • ThunderstruckThunderstruck    7,696 posts
lost me with the cheques and balances quip? i won't be on her i think she IS a risk at 2200 on that last run i found that race too hard really.Rather load up on the super shorty Western Empire or one out an exacta in that race.
  • TheSwooperTheSwooper    1,718 posts
Justacanta ran a cracker but had no hope the way the race was run. The young jockey on Remington is still trying to decide where to go. Time to pull up stumps I think. No interest in Moonee Valley and find Sydney harder than Ascot (and I can't pick a winner there either). Good punting with your selections.

Probably should be checks and balances. That was Zac’s main election line in the debate he had with Mr McGoo. You did your voting earlier. Some attempted humour by me.
Yeah had another look at Solaia and slight betting drift along with 2200m.
Will leave it alone too. So now it is a CERTAINTY. Lol
