Might be a extreme measure but is it about time some body like the ACC look into how this place has been run from say the last 15 years

On radio this morning talking about a quarantine station to attract horses to races such as the Railway Stakes.

So my question is, what grade of **** are they smoking there ?

I didn’t realise East Coast B grade horses needed quarantine ;))

Who's dreament this one-up.. What a quarantine station  for melb. cup horses, if werribee is full? theres one at Kalgoorlie to service the class of galloper  you are trying to entice west. wouldn't fly them over plus surely no-ones that silly to take bob peters on from the east, surely not thinking about overseas shortcourse horses....

We should be still spending the money takeover target& apache cat, generated  if   attracting top horses is the answer……. if someone thinks a quarantine station is the answer good luck

If those two champions didn't fill ascot to the max.  Don't think.we ever will..

RWWA should have brought the Harvey complex purely as traning base with courses and likes for the three codes..and turned a section into a quarantine station if need arises...down the track.

Be careful in allegations you make against the former Chairman, he is litigious to say the least.

Any one heard anything about GRD pausing development at Belmont due to the current economic climate?

They paused for a long time in starting due to the slow real estate market, but there are signs now of limited recovery and with interest rates dropping there may be a spike upwards. For their development to be completed I think the timeline is out to 30 years now. A few developments are approaching completion around town, so it will be interesting to see how they sell out.

I don't think they have any jurisdiction, as they regulate Consumer Law and Protection. A more appropriate Govt Dept may be the ATO.

Here is a hypothetical than. If the ACCC did have jurisdiction do forum members think any past or present committee members or employees would or could be prosecuted for missaproperation of funds or unethical business descisions just asking

I just wish PR would quietly, without any fuss just delete this mans name from that noted race.
just revert to the Cox Stakes.
who rubber stamped the name change to the TVH should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

He threw himself on the ground and threatened to quit if they didn't name a major race after him apparently. Why didn't they say "there's the door"?

Why didn't they name one of those Saturday maidens after him to appease him

Every past committee member up to about 2016/17(from memory) is protected from any prosecution by the committee structure. I'm not sure after the restructure what else ws changed.......and not interested enough to worry about trying to find out!!

Ever time i saw Ted i always thought of "The Judge" in the Caddy Shack movie

I don't believe it is every Committee Member, however it was enshrined by Parliamentary  Act, that the Chairman acting in the best interests of Racing in WA, couldn't be held personally responsible or liable when acting in good faith.

But that wasn't the question though.
