Pardon my ignorance but what could Ryan have done??

not get caught napping behind the leader. why do you think he rushed to react when the move was made.

Do you think trooper he would have won the race staying in the death? - I certainly dont.

yes those stats i can see the devils advocate stance your making. noted

my point was regarding getting short price favs beaten. nothing more.

jnrs strike rate may not be as strong but i believe he drives more often for weaker stables also.

may not have won but i didnt say it would anywhere. was chasing the early speed on the fav necessary?

a situation like that in back straight on a $1.10  pop is always going to be criticised. whether it changes any result or not

You beat me to it Fastmoney. The stats don't lie but I will agree that Ryan's drives would on average start at a much shorter quote than the other leading drivers.

A winning strike rate of 45.8% and in the first three at 72.9% so far this season are exceptional and hardly warrant the derision that he receives.

His stats for the last 2 years are exceptional. Some people on here would say cause he drives for team Bond he is lucky. He didnt fall into the job. He worked his ass off playing second fiddle to C Brown and bided his time. Now he is reaping the rewards of his hard work. Yes he makes a blue every once in a while but im pretty sure we all so. Its just he is under the microscope more often than not as he works for the states leading trainer. Maybe he should get his own trainers licence light them up and get multiple TCO2 disqualifications then people might appreciate how hard he has worked

Wouldn't a lot of Ryan's winners be in the Prov/ Country?? Bond's do  to have a habit of sending a team to those weak races....

Current equal metro leading driver with shannon. The bonds havent sent teams to Kelleberrin or Narrogin for a while. So to answer your question almost 1/3 of his winners this year have been city winners. Compare that to lewis voak hall and others its a big effort
