You can redeem yourself if you manage to beat Bonnie Palise in the Stewards Room. All set to sit outside the lead and Bonnie does a right hand turn and Joe checks to midfield and wide. Then she puts Pike in a pocket. Embarrassing for the boys.

Is it a protest 1st against 2nd???? If so sorry rodent but I'm against you on this one!! hoping it is dismissed... what actually happened? I saw Bonnie was a bit all over the place but didn't think she was close to the 2nd horse?

She checked off the heels of the leader at the 800 forcing Azzopardi to check and lose about a length and that posted him 3 deep. Moral beaten.

I hope Joe Azzopardi doesn't mind travelling to the bush to ride. I don't think he's going to have much choice if the first 2 rides are anything to go by. #bushjockeyatbest

Had a look. Certainly a moral beaten. Be interesting to read the stewards report. Will suggest they attributed no blame to Bonnie. Her horse was bolting and leader maybe slowed up in her face. Difficult to tell without the head on.  If they do attribute any blame at all - should have been upheld with the margin being so small and Quirky definitely lost a half a length.. Protests are so hard to read.

I now have the same feeling towards Maddison Brown as you do to Joey Azzopardi @Rodent... That ride on see me sizzle very questionable. absolute moral beaten - and never looked like she intended to put it in a winning position. Funny that the stable mate wins the race!!

I was on See Me Sizzle and agree it was a moral beat but I have no issues with the ride. Sometimes we just have to accept that horses run like pigs sometimes. The horse blew the start and from there she had it 3 wide with cover. Not much more she could have done from there. The entire way up the straight the horse wanted to lay in. Again how is she meant to control that?

If it jumps and settles first 4 it bolts in but it didn't.

"Further, Stewards were not satisfied that had ZEPHYRSCHINO not crossed at that stage the interference would have still occurred and consequently dismissed the objection."

I'm not sure why they added this. The interference occurred. Surely that is all they need to consider.  They might as well of asked her why didn't take a bigger hold in anticipation that once she was crossed, the  leader might ease up once it got to the front.

I drove out yesterday to capture some of the action from some different angles. What do you think of these ?
