I like Mako Shadows chances of swooping if the speed is on which it looks like it will be. Am on him and Therugo who is a big chance of crossing.

My knock on how the Oliveri stable is going was costly in the last.

When TrustyTrev found leaders back @$6.50 for a drum it became a $1.10 place chance. Good gate speed from him.

No cigar but not a bad run from Mako who looks immaculate for Clinton "Teddy" Kimes. Not in the same class as the winner but in something easier with a barrier, he will pick up another win.

    Now for the big three!
    1 vote. Bob Mellsop
    2 votes. Troy Lewis
    3 votes. Shannon Suvaljko
All clever front running drives...also Suvaljko drive on Plati first rate.

Haha, hard marker Riders ACL steered a couple around perfectly and doesn't figure in the votes but SJS the 3 votes for sure.....unbiased view of course.

Yes a lazy double to Chris Lewis unlucky to miss a vote. On a 5/4/3/2/1 basis he would have got a two!

Why has the stewards not questioned beaudiennes run?? Shit for weeks then dazzling and now ordinary.... others made ground. We are talking a big difference. They should have been checking heart rates and recoveries over Prob past 5 runs after they questioned performance second up. U simply can't smash a track record then be under pressure at 500. Last week off rocket speed it dashed past them while the leader was running time. ????? Someone please tell me and the many punters at gp tonight I am wrong.

Come on Mick, apply your unrivalled analytical skills to sort out anyone who thinks BB was Tarzan last week and Jane this week, you'll have the inside story, so don't keep the greater unwashed and uneducated in the dark. My casual observation is that he gave it away a bit at the 400....not completely as they were humming at that stage.....and had he gone 3 wide early when the pace was not hot, he may have got stranded 3 wide and everyone would be bagging Junior....but my view, no where near as good a run as last week.

Simple really.. Cruised into the race on a 29.9 quarter last week this time made his run during a 27.2 quarter... Mission impossible

So, with a 30.1 first quarter of the last mile, why not pull out and get into the race rather than sit back knowing they will be screaming along the last 800m? Simple really? Of course, the caveat there is that it's easy after the event and from the grandstand but either, he didn't run as well as last week or he wasn't driven as well as last week, acknowledging a super drive in the Navy Cup....but can't have it both ways.

    Cruised into it :-w

He served it up to bettors fire last week and gave it wind burn. Im no guru when it comes to the Red Hots. But 1.52 mile rate is pretty handy(1.54 last night). And last weeks last two 1/4s were nearly identical too last nights.

Sorry Mick but they were two completely differing Runs. Last week the reasons for improvement were Boaz was cherry ripe and back to his best. This week struggling too go with them with 400 to go. you don't lose form and class in a week. unless there is something amiss.

Just my uneducated opinion, but I think Atthepalms has a valid point.

Yes Jum cruised into it what's so hard to comprehend there, he pulled out during an almost 30 quarter made up 3 lengths before Jnr let him rip the 2 runs are completely incomparable, last night he pulled out while they were humming it's physically impossible. And what are you asking of him JayJay pull out with a mile to go and sit 3 deep the remainder? No way bettors fire was giving up the breeze...

Bottom line is the BB is not greatly superior to at least four horses in last night's race and will have to have good runs or go to another level to have any chance in a ID Grand Final.
