i don't think there is any doubt that tol can run the trip fine in that class.
but if it was suspect, and from what i can see the pace was good, then no way should it be way back where it was.
i think pike has a fundamental problem whenever he draws wide, in that he tends to go right angles to the fence and drops right out before he has any inkling of what the pace is like.

but i reckon you could run that race 10 times and lucy warwick would have beaten pike each time, no matter how he rode it.

Carey so he pushes forward from the outside marble on a horse that doesnt like to be bussled out of the gate  and gets stuck 3 and 4 deep with the top weight  the entire trip  ?? then how would his ride be judged by your good self  ??? Then you would have hung him anyway doesn't matter what he would have done there you only comment on his carve ups every odd weekend when he lands trebles and doubles no word from you ,,,funny that have a good day
dungy my dear, who said 'bustling'?
and your 3 and 4 deep is nonsensical, because the pace was on and the field was spread out nicely.

i also did not say anything about him carving it up, i simply said he has a bad habit of going right angles to the fence when he draws wide most of the time.
    and he does.
i also said that no matter how he rode it then it would likely have NOT won.
any intelligent person would read that as me thinking that the horse was not good enough on the day to beat zarantz.
i realise that 2nd word in the sentence above rules you out dungy dear.

as for the doubles and trebles, and i am sure you back all of them at the skinny prices.
do you ever ask yourself deary, why you can never seem to get in the black where horse racing is concerned?

whatever, your wannabe boyfriend is just fine dungy, but he best stay where he is.
if he came over here, then i reckon your love affair would soon be over, because he would be in the middle of the pack.
and there would likely be no big daddy mr peters to keep him high.

ps: stop sending me pm's dungy dear, i am not interested, and you have cluttered up my inbox with sweet nothings far too often!!
