Breaking News: Sad news, to hear that top WA mare Elite Belle has suffered a heart attack on a plane heading east this morning. Owner Bob Peters is in shock.
Bob Peters said "Elite Belle was heading for the Sydney Championships after winning the Cox Stakes and Railway, it only happens to the good ones"

mate it happens to all horses from time to time , but you only hear of the good ones and don't hear about the slow ones. but yes very sad

Not the best start to the day with the news of three leading trainers in Vic under investigation for cobalt use.
The Group 1 filly of WA, ELITE BELLE passes away enroute flight to Sydney. She was heading towards our Championships. 17 year old grey Queenslander and Stradbroke winner ST BASIL passes away peacefully in his paddock. And I couldn't believe it, dear boy SUPER COOL (pictured) has passed away too, not a lot of details there of the cause as yet.
His Australian Cup win was beauty chasing down Fiveandahalfstar....
