PT, pick a board member that you think you may like and ring them and talk to them...I am serious. I haven't met one that I cant talk to. They are all good people. Once you have a few chats your thoughts will be given air time.

Don't worry too much about hassling the CEO at PR unless it is an operational issue,. All PR staff take direction from the board - the same as in nearly every large sporting club - so talk to a board member. I have one I whinge to regularly(sorry talk) and others that I have spoken too.. It does help you understand their abilities and them to understand your concerns...

Il be getting stuck in this sat in the committee room AT&T the cocktail party an I have 6 issues in particular that are unacceptable to me they are fundamental errors that need instant attention

1-sound system is abysmal at ascot you cannot hear the race in public areas or in sections if the stand its horrible the quality

2-not changing the infield board after the previous race to the next displaying divvies it's stupid and costs them turnover as people are waiting waiting waiting outside on the lawn areas to see what the next Is paying

3-members paying for race books no member should pay for a race book as they throw cast amounts in the bin an it should be a perk for all members free race books

4dress code in the mounting yard members not been enforced the image of WA racing needs lifting an seeing our trainers on sky looking like crap is unacceptable so is the dress in the members if you have offensive tattoos all over you fine cover them up I an my partner do not want to read them or hear people saying the f an c word in the members

5- the entry for GA is stupid make entry to the track free for non carnival days for all

6- members only outdoor lawn enclosure with chairs tables an bar service at the post by the mounting yard. With shade sails umbrellas I for one even tho I'm a member like sitting outside but not amongst GA as a member we should have out own dedicated area

Piston_Broke...this is a very general and racist thing you are saying ...I think you will be finding that there are many "ASIAN" owners in Perth and even the Royal family Sh of Dubai raced in perth - perhaps not all ASIANS are race here for THe Punt!

No there is not many asian owners racing horses in perth actually look in any sat race book I think we need a couple of well known asian business guys on the board its not racist to say that at all as its factual

Yes you work up to the hard to fix issues by bowling over the easy ones

How hard us it to get speakers that are clear at ascot for god sake or deem free race books for all members

Also they need to put flyers out on tables that midweek members have exclusive use if the committee room which is awesome to watch the races from not many members know this I was in there with two others last week lol

Very happy to pay to be a member as I am a member of the ATC MRC VRC I like to support clubs an I travel east a bit for the carnivals so enjoy been a full member an can take guests an better my buisness pays for it

Membership is great at PR I think for 500 PA it's cheap as chips

2 passes car park spot in members 10 guest passes discounted drinks an better food glass ware an great view of the track it's top value plus the discount book it's terrific value
