GP 28/3

Some very good tips from the boys going out last week with some great prices a winner. On a personal level it was my best night for the year so far, hopefully can back it up.

R1: Think we can start of the night with an EW special. No11 Ima Grumpy Jasper has been gradually on the improve over the last couple of months. I can see a heap of speed from 1,2&3, (shame the 4 is out as it would have added more speed) Voak will be back smoking the pipe. He might get a trail up on a horse like Soldier Boy, regardless he will be finishing all over the top of them late.

R2: Just having an interest bet here on No8 Bettor Whitby. Am Opulent should lead with Adda Rising Star sitting outside it. That will make it hard for others to get into the race. Occasionally Adda Rising Star can throw the toys out of the pram, I'm hoping that might happen late letting Bettor Whitby out to flash late. Could take some small novelties 1,8 for value with the thought the 2 could do things wrong.

R3: Definitely not a firm opinion here but I'll spec No10 Classic American to get things right tonight. I was really impressed with this horses first campaign. They did ask a lot of the horse so I'm hoping it hasn't hurt him, he did nothing after that very short break but he's a better horse than that. Machtu is going to be very short but just might not get everything his own way while Classic American will just be coasting along with the chance to finish hard.

R4: Never thought I'd be tipping No2 The Feather Foot in any race on a Friday night but the horse is flying and has options. Preordained has gate speed but I think he'd hand up to either The Feather Foot or Shifting Sands, If TFF does cross he could still hand up to Shifting Sands. If he gets caught in the breeze I think he'll end up getting the 1,1 on Mein Guy. However you look at it he looks like getting a good run at EW odds. I think the horses I've mentioned are worth boxing up in a tri with Dashing Christian so 1,2,3,6&8.

R5: Shirlz Sensation was fantastic for me last Friday but No12 Soho Jackman was just as good during the week. They are the winning chances. Even though Shirl is better drawn I think Soho may actually get the fly on it and get ahead of it early making it very hard to get past. I see Oneheart Twofists whizzing over early and maybe handing up to Soho 1000m out. No bet here unless Soho happens to be around the $4 mark again fixed.

R6: Great race even if it is hard to work out. Lord Lombo use to ping the gate but for whatever reason he doesn't seem to anymore. At the current $15 available No3 Hokuri Handrail is worth a spec EW. He is flying again at the moment, he seems to be a horse that gets in the zone every now and then and is definitely in it at the moment. He may find the top but even if he doesn't can still run a race and the price seems massive.

R7: You should really only need Sensational Gabby and Soho Valencia in the quaddie. Clint got it wrong and went too hard too soon last week, I don't think he'll get it wrong 2 weeks in a row so the speed they'll be running home in should make it impossible for anything to come from behind. Not a betting race.

R8: Should be a fantastic race, I'll be taking 1-5 in the quad but could easily miss the winner. If I had to take one horse EW it would be No1 Pacific Black. He's definitely not one of mine but he is racing as well as he can and will get a soft trip.

R9: Absolute trap race in my opinion. Awesome Desire was a good win 2 back but was against what you would say was an average bunch of mares at best. Love In The Dark has gone around at $48 and $25 at it's last two starts at Albion Park, leave me out of any horse with Albion Park form coming here! Those two will be stifling the market! They may well just run 1,2 but I definitely wont be on. I've always thought No7 Four Legged Frenzy has ability, with the way the race could be run it may well be back in a slow race and have no chance but I'll take the punt that the horses on top aren't as good as thought and she still might be able to finish off at an EW price.

R10: Pretty keen No8 My Bachelors Delight to bring us home on a winning note. Can see a bit of early speed and with the class of horse over this distance they are bound to be getting tired late. MBD will do nothing early, it will just be a matter of getting him into clear running late for him to finish over the top.
