Just heard that there's no metro meeting in Perth on Saturday January 4th. Bunbury instead. How do you add one of those sad faced emoticons to your posts?   :(

we are the only state who does not have a metro meeting on a public holiday..boxing day, easter mon, anzac day etc, that IS a disgrace!!!!

So not much to miss for those going to the Gold Coast sales then ?

Racing 1st of January I presume still, but surely they don;t think that a following Saturday crowd would be so small that it is just not worth the effort ?

they have a corresponding meeting from last year which from memory was very poor.

    Small fields, only 7 races.
If the figures don't stack up, they don't stack up.
I can't say I disagree, Bunno will probably have a bumper day.

But the figures stack up on a clapped out Belmont track when Kal want to get 12,000 on course for the standalone Cup ... course it does

gee a lot of those horses have fallen  by the wayside in 12 months...temember i backed nozami....wonder where he is...and the jock.

on reflection, bunno is probably a wise choice...see, i admit when i am wrong....

What about on March 3 Labour Day. I'm in Perth then and would have gone to a meeting at Ascot, Pinjarra Bunbury etc. But there is no way I'm spending 4 hours in a car driving to Geraldton and another 4 going back to Perth, with just the missus for company I-) I-)

With the exception of the Perth Cup, no public holiday racing is held by Perth Racing anymore.

Smart move as the fields look very average will be hard to finish in front betting on these fields. [-O< $-)
