All the stars are headed to Ascot. It must be true if I read it in The West Australian ??

    And so it starts for another year..All the if butts and maybes to pump up their own tyres!! one paragraph suggests it may be coming over..the next quotes him as saying he didn't want to move his horse out of Sydney!?!?!?!?!?

    As we are talking about the Winterbottom.. What W.A horses are likely to get there?

    Does anybody know if Barakey is going to make it?
    Smoko where is it at?
    Any others that may head that way?

    Methinks - the  Texan/ MissFunofits  deaths and  the pre race issue around Mr M in melb will cost PR this year - negative press unfortunately weighs more than good press !

    Little bit of speculation that Luckygray may be heading back over here. Hasnt exactly set the track alight with his runs, although last run was much improved. I just think they have been setting him for the wrong races, but meh its only an opinion. However the owners will soon get annoyed having to front up cash to maintain him as isnt earning the $$$$ without the wins.

    picked up $11k whilst over there..certainly not enough to cover the bills, but i also don't think it'd be about the money. Surely it is more to do with testing the horse and seeing what he can achieve...And if he was going to run here i think i'd be able to weigh in for the ride!!!!

    Smoko is about 3-4 weeks away from racing Ross Price said they wont go the Winterbottom then again if it falls away he will be about 3rd run  back phuk the rating points thing just win the cash while you have a good horse and he is a superstar

    Obviously wouldnt go in handicaps apart from the Railway where his rating wouldnt have gone up from last year. Youd rather have a horse who is earning than rocking up to big races and seeing him fail. The horses confidence must be shot running against some decent horses. Habits be it good or bad are hard to break, he is in a major losing habit.

    I'm led to believe he is ticking along nicely in his work, and will be aimed at the shorter course races such as The Summer Scorcher and Crawford Stakes. I'm pretty sure he had a wind operation between his last preparation and this one, hense why he hasn't raced in a while ;)

    Spirit of Boom confirmed as coming over. One more run (Salinger) then on the plane.  Ran well in the race last year.
