Apologies if this has been covered but couldn't find mention of it.
What happens if one of your selections is scratched after you have submitted your entry?

    What happens?

A lot of tipsters had Black Romeo.

So say hell freezes over and I pick 8 :)) . I would then have to open a Betfair account i guess to claim the $$, is there a min. deposit when you open an account? if so i would have to pay to claim my prize?? correct????

Also the winnings, can they be withdrawn or do they have to be bet before being able to withdraw it. I prefer to only bet with the TAB or a bookie i can look in the eye and have no idea how they work so thought id ask to get the correct info.
    Thanks in Advance

Ill make it easy for you....you'll never pick 8 straight winners!
  • RIORIO    14,902 posts
i'm with you again brown cow...the questions you ask i'd like to know as well...I'll still be in the comp and i really don't think it will be an issue...8 in one month maybe...but would be good to know.

  • TheDivaTheDiva    13,248 posts
As far as I know, no min deposit, no turnover requirement. They're not a corporate, they're a betting exchange.

Brunswick, $30 deposit to get a Betfair account started and yes, I think you can withdraw it immediately

Think that's the wrong way to go about it Chris why should you get what the rest of the mindless herd of TAB punters back rather than your own selection. I think if a selection is scratched you should have the option to select another horse or if you fail to do so you go without a tip in that particular race. This in my opinion would be a better system after all the chances of someone tipping the card or missing out on tipping the card because of a late scr are almost infinitesimal.

I'm with you Andrew but those who tipped Black Romeo had plenty of time to log back in and change it before the jump of R1 at 1.55pm

If it's a late scratching at the barrier then I just can't see how it can operate in any manner other than the sub.
