Ever picked the card? The Straight 8?

Now is the time. Perth Turf Talk, thanks to sponsor Betfair, is offering a rolling jackpot of $50 per Metro meeting over the autumn for the first tipster to select the winner in every race in a WA metro meeting.

Whether the card be 7, 8 or 9 races there has never been a better time to play the perfect game.

Each metro meeting that passes without a winner will see a $50 increase to the jackpot. The first to select the card will take all, with the jackpot being deposited into their Betfair account.

There has never been a better time to study your form and to be a Betfair punter.

Tipping will be open every Wednesday & Saturday and the ladder will be updated live after each race with the best tipsters of the round ranked in order. Each tipsters total tipping strike rate over the competition will also be maintained.

Competition begins officially Australia Day, 26th January. Good luck!

we give you a chance to win free money and you complain?
No doubt its a tough gig, but what if the jackpot doesnt go off after a year? Might start to get a bit interesting.
Add to that, there's no work involved, just tick 8 horses and cross your fingers. Bit better chance than lotto!

based on past comments that would be fair, cos he only ever looks at a one or two races, and this week he has guaranteed me a 100% certainty..he hasn't produced it yet, but he's told me that it's coming.. ;)

I tipped out eight of nine winners one time at a major GP meeting when working as a cadet for Trotwest, the only winner I missed out on was Village Kid of all things. It was the America's Cup Pace and I thought Fred Kersley could lead on Raceaway Too , a brilliant frontrunner and it was flying at the time and could have beaten the kid if it led. Fred tried to cross from four or five and lead but several drivers on his inside all they wanted to do was to hold out Raceaway Too and then they couldn't hand up quick enough when Lewis came around the field with Village Kid and I think after working in the run throughout Raceaway Too still boxed on for second or third.
That season I won the most winners on a programme award and longest prized 33/1 winner fast creed at GP and we had to do our tips on the Tuesday night for the Friday night meetings to meet our publishing deadlines. As soon I had finished typing up the form comment I would go through and do my tips, so not a lot of time to analyse the fields but I knew the form backwards.

It was then and I can assure you they werent odds on pop Village kid I think was 4/7 fav and by far and away the shortest price favourite on the program and I though it could get beaten which was why I tipped it against.
Fancy not tipping Village Kid and it costs you tipping the card.

good luck with that, if he's a self proclaimed semi pro punter that makes a living off the punt you'd have a better chance eating the shirt off his back

There are always still a couple of difficult races that are a raffle most of the time there falcon. I still do well out out of the Trots at GP on a Friday night and you still find some great value but you need to be patient. The movement of the mobile starting points a year ago made it almost certain for the pole horse to lead and that led to a run of ridiculously short prices about horses drawn the pole that aren't much good but get away with the race because of the huge advantage they were gaining. Hopefully that will be alleviated somewhat by moving the starting points back 30m last week but I am yet to be convinced that is far enough as many pole horses still led very comfortably but time will tell.

Brady and Hash I don't know what your problems are but I pay all my bills and have been gradually knocking off the debts caused by my case through my punting.

It's not something I really want to do but unfortunately I've been left with no other choice. I would much rather be pursuing a successful career as a journalist which I would have been doing without having my career deliberately destroyed by the scum involved.

Well I got the evens on Wednesday with 365 about Quinnie and have also backed Uppy Son in the Cup mainly for a place and have had a decent bet on Quinnie having thrown all my winning for the week on it and Uppy Son so at absolute worst if neither of them wins or Uppy Son fails to run a place I will be down about 50 bucks for the week going into tomorrows ordinary Ascot meeting.
