Mosayter has been sold to Argyle Stud in NSW.The win of Mossroy today was a nice celebration for the new owners. The original owners Swan River Stud,Kath Fleming and Jasmine Knuckey who bought Mosayter from the very astute Sheik Rashid Al Bin Maktoum[apologies for any misspelling]sold the stallion for an undisclosed sum and will each retain lifetime shares to him.

Is it uncouth to speculate on how much he went for?

Wouldnt have been a lot! They would have only got there money back from why they pu in less all the expenses.

The pricing of Stallions once they have moved from their racetrack lives to the stud farm, for the most part is overpriced. But subsequent moves always have someone casting dispersions on the real reasons, and mostly like this comment, they are made with no connection to the syndicate that previously owned him.

Obviously everyone was happy with the price achieved or the deal wouldn't have been done, as Mosayter's profile has been on the rise in recent times in WA. In my opinion, Sires that can get regular Saturday winners, that then turn into stakes winners, are doing their job at Stud. Many Stallion based here in WA would aspire to these goals that Mosayter has achieved.

fair to say Mosayter did an outstanding job from limited chances and alot of average mares which displays that he upgraded mares. I for one have never owned a Mosayter however stats don't lie as far as city winners go. the best mare sent to him would have been Cottage Rose, but apart from that not much.
