I'd love to see this great horse back on the race track just to see if he still has what it takes to be competitive.

He might be 8 years old, but most 3 year olds have had 14 starts. The owners would not put any undue pressure on El Presidente, but he is too good to spend the rest of his time in a paddock, as he has proven to be such a good horse.
Did not Fields of Omagh come back from a bowed tendon and win the Cox Plate as a 9 year old? And Super Impose was 8 when he won a Cox Plate. These are quoted for emphasising a point, not suggesting The Pres is in that class- yet. :roll:
