Trainer Jason Warren & connections of unbeaten 4YO gelding Bel Sprinter (Bel Esprit-Gavroche, by Snippets) have ?turned down a 7-figure offer, believed to be from Hong Kong,? reported The Herald-Sun.

Bel Sprinter took his record to 4 wins from 4 starts for $204,075 earnings in winning the Listed 60th Anniversary Of National Service Stakes (1200m) at Caulfield on August 13 & Warren confirmed: ?There have been plenty of offers, but at this stage we're not really interested. He can only do what he's done. We think he's pretty smart & hopefully he can go on to win a nice race.?

Bel Sprinter?s next start will be in the Bobbie Lewis Quality (1200m) at Flemington on Saturday week.

Horses are just so damn injury prone. you don't know when their times up!

most people get on here and say take the money, and you all make valid points but............why even own a horse if that's your attitude. If you are trying to make money then horses are probably not your best option, so then surely most people do it for the enjoyment and the dream of one day getting that champion, so why the hell would you sell the one time that's within reach?

Agree Precision, however, I suppose it depends on what you originally purchased the horse for, what your circumstances are, and if it has balls or not haha. I for one race horses for enjoyment and my outlay isn't very big at all, and while getting a champion would be a dream come true, there are just too many variables and things that have to go right before winning a million plus dollars. For mine, paying off debts such as mortgages and so forth would be the first thing i would do, THEN with that side of life sorted i could choose whether to take the money or not in the future.

If Bel Sprinters owners are well off already and dont have the commitments of the common man then power to them knocking back the offer. I know i would be much better off with a million in my pocket now :)

If you were in it for the money - yes i would take the $1m as well

Normally I would say take the money, but in this case, coming up to Spring in Melbourne, the horse only has to win two decent sprint races to hit the million mark.

However given the fact he is a gelding - it's a pretty good offer.

Def a case of where you stand financially - if you're already comfortable, who cares, go for it, enjoy the racing action wherever it takes you!
