I have heard from a trotting mate that John Hunt is being seriously looked at. He is keen for another job, worked in radio successfully in the past and would only cost a fraction of the current host.
  • J Hunt would be a good choice, but no doubt would much more red hots

Must be something in the air this year as in Melbourne 927 have "fired" Steve Moran from his show and also Angela Pipos from their breakfast show

I was told today that John Hunt has already been interviewed by the R.W.W.A. executive.

He hosted a sports show on 6MM for many years but I didn't think he would want to come back into the media limelight.

without being disrespectful I think Hunt or a number of "industry' people would do a better job than Gossage-Don't mind the bloke talking footy but racing is not his strength

On "The Box Seat" the hint is given that Matt Nowland is on the move interstate. Anyone know where or in deed is it to Melbourne ?

His thoughts on child birth a few weeks back were nothing short of an embarrasment to both him and the station.

Been told by a well placed source at the station that it is him. From the bookies ring at Ascot I have been told by several that Josh Rodder gets the other chair.

Don't know how good my info is on the second chair, but the first is already a done deal.

Laughed when I saw the poll results after I cast mine, Wes getting 100% support so far.

I wasn't a fan of Goss to start with, but he did improve significantly in his time. I don't think I was the only one from here who didn't rate him to start with either.
If it is Shortte and/or Josh Rodder, maybe we should just give them them an opprtunity to prove themselves before we send them to the gallows?
Whoever it is I just hope they try to emulate the standards that Goss is setting and also keep the main focus on thoroughbreds, after all that is the main revenue stream.\

I would like to hear Big Wes host the show each morning.

Don't listen at the moment - but I would listen to the Wesman! He gets racing in this state and has a good personality to boot!

Wes with AB would be a great show! Bugger this dogs and trots stuff, throughbreds all the way!

An industry source told me today that R.W.W.A. may do a complete turnaround and keep Goss on the payroll as the host of Track Talk but with a very much revised salary.
