Willy Pike wins the main race, rides winners and place getters left right and centre, just $1.01 in the JC so he takes that out comfortably...well not quite, a certain Froggy Newitt hopped across the Nullabor and had a few winners and places as well.

Between the two of them 7 winners from 8 races, and the the JC result....
Pikey off to a flyer and leads 3-1.
Newitt comes back and trails 2-3.
Newitt hits the front 5-3.
Pikey charges back and it's 6-6.
Pike goes bang again and leads 9-6.
Newitt not to be denied and it's 9-9 with two races to go.
Pike wins the Hannans and forges to a 12-9 lead.
Newitt rides the last winner and it's 12-12....but Pikey runs the quinella placing to take him to 14.

Willy Pike 3,3,3,3,2 - 14
Craig Newitt 1,1,3,1,3,3 - 12.

The two hoops gather 26 points between them, and Craig Newitt comes within a whisker of causing an amazing bolilover, especially considering Pike's dominance.

The other hoop to gain a victory was Mitch Pateman.

Over Coolgardie Cup, Boulder Cup and Hannans day on two nine race cards and one eight race card - four jockeys have ridden 23 of the 26 winners. That's unheard of.

Pike, Newitt, Pateman and Jade McNaught running at 88% from 26 races.

And as of Saturday since you’ve posted this stat none of them will get a winner for the rest of the round :)

Pikey rides 4 including the Hannans, he was $1.01 for the JC, he had the plum rides, and did it brilliantly.

Craig Newitt three winners and two of them over $10, plus another three place getters.

This is a very controversial count, but the votes are in...
    1 vote - Mitch Pateman.
    2 votes - Willy Pike.
    3 votes - Craig Newitt.

For Newitt to come to Kalgoorlie, ride a treble in winners and place getters, and get that close to a $1.01 pop, he gets the three. Could be a stewards inquiry though!

Just perusing rides for Kalgoorlie Cup day....there some sort of chance to go 9/9. (Pike, Newitt, McNaught, Pateman ).

I'd be $1.50 that they don't ride the card and $2.60 that they do.

Upon review that's probably a bit too close, more like $1.20 they won't ride the card and $4 they will, with 9 races, there's sure to be another winner outside of those four, although just three of them rode the card yesterday.
