All any owner/punter can ask for is for a horse to be consistent. Possibly one of the most difficult things to achieve in ownership and punting.
Here's Daniel Morton's record with two remarkable horses.

Dainty Tess - 36 starts. 13 wins - 10 seconds - 6 thirds. Million$ earner.
Man Booker - 20 starts. 10 wins - 2 seconds - 1 third. Over 900k in the bank.

Between the two of them 56 starts for 23 wins and 19 placings. 42 times in top 3. Nearly 2million$ in prizemoney.
Doesn't get much better for owner or punter.

    From memory he took a Scenic horse to Uk and won a major race; not many can do that.

    Yes Scenic Blast and what a horse - was Australian horse of the year in 2009.
    Won three Group One races - the Lightning and Newmarket at Flemington and then with D. Morton in the top hat and tails won the King's Stand Stakes in the U.K.

    Scenic Shot another topliner. Won about 2$million including a Group One MacKinnon at Flemington. Shane Scriven had some good wins aboard him.

    Scenic Shot cost $36,000 and earnt 2$million in prizemoney.
    Scenic Blast $85,000 and made 1.5$million.

    Tess + Booker + Blast + Shot = approximately 5.5$million in prizemoney.
    More remarkable has been there consistency.
    Scenic Blast had 26 starts for 8 - 6 - 4.

    To set the record straight. Had Scenic Blast wrong too. Hadn't updated enough. This is official and correct weight.

    Scenic Blast - 31 starts. 8 - 8 - 4. He accumulated a tick over 2$million.
    Scenic Shot - 74 starts. 17 - 8 - 8. A fraction over 3$million.

    So that's about 7$million between the four of them.

    Backed Tess and thought Man Booker was the lay of the century haha.Thank goodness stayed out of the race. Barrier 9 in a field of 9 was the big worry but Paul Harvey did it well.

    The beauty of gambling on horses...you can be so right and so wrong in the space of 40 minutes and often in a lot less time too.
