Should be a tremendous race - never been this much depth in a finals field - and even the roughies are not impossible

When you say - 2 could be an awkward gate for Lazarus - if multiple runners make mid race moves - the 2 obvious ones of course - then it could become awkward - shuffled back out of the race - you dont want to be wide in the last lap on that screaming leaders goat track

Thus if i was Mark Purdon ( i know he is a  quiet and reserved sort of bloke ) or if he isnt prepared to do it - get one of the owners to come out publicly and declare that if they cant lead ( they wont cross the 1 ) then their going to keep the breeze at all costs - and make it very clear that if Prentice or Alford come wide then guess what they are going to be parked 3 wide  for the trip

Hes got to drive this horse like Gammalite - if the 1 and 10 beat you then so be it - at the top of the straight at Bunbury in the heat  - i liked  looked the look of Lazarus - you could see the will to win written all over it - and the 2900 should prove a great staying test
