How Deep Is The Draft???

Based on the delistings, retirements (voluntary or pushed?), there must be a solid belief that this years draft is rich in talent.
Crameri and Cloke no longer playing at the Dogs....I always wondered why they recruited them in the first place, the Eagles have just delisted 5 including Wellingham, Hill, Gorter,Lamb and Snadden to make a total of 12 gone off the list, Hocking, Howlett and Bird got chopped at Essendon, Freo have 11 spots to fill,Brisbane have delisted 7 and so the list goes on.
I was of the understanding that the 2018 draft was considered very good but maybe 2017 will have some rich pickings.
