    Nice find JayJay.

Another from that period that reached its mark and was shipped off to the USA. Seemed part of the business model of Williams, Warwick et al.

Yeah that's the one, was a very good horse to me on the punt as a young fella so has always stuck with me. He and Allwoods Chief probably my two favourites, Missed the halcyon days but to me being able to go along and have 3 or 4 bookies, a bookie betting on the east and a crowd spread along the lawn was gold. Had several very good trainers bringing horses over so it was very competitive.

Gilgamesh was good off the stand, from memory they got a bonus foe the further back they won of a mark, can't rember if it was $100 or $500 per 10m back, encouraged good horses to have a crack from the back.

Yes, I was uploading some stuff into Data base (for Smoke and Ashes) and bingo, up it came as a winner in Sept 8th 2000 and I thought I'd just chuck it up here. Hope you don't mind.

Rocky beach and waverly knight both good money spinners for connections in the beaten brigade, flew the stand.

Won from 40m mark as well, don't see that too often these days. One of my earliest memories is Comet Again winning off 72 yards for Mick Ward at GP - probably in the 60's.
