What a marvelous advertisement old Has The Answers is  for the Standardbred, his sire Legacy of Power, breeder Les Coulson and to be fair, trainer Tony Svilicich, Last night, he runs 1.53.8, last 800m in 54 and change coming from 6th and getting home right over the top of a 1700m specialist in Sneakyn Down Under courtesy of a class drive from Morgan Woodley.
He is trained unconventionally being chased around a paddock from a ute but it works. There is over $1.3 million in the kitty and he keeps racing week in week out. When they took him off Tony and trained him conventionally, he went like a busted arse, back he goes to Svilicich and it took a little while but he is back in fine form. Its a great story and one that I am sure teh PR department at GP is running very strongly with on the promotional side of things!!!!!

I was speaking to the trainer that had him not that long before he went back to tonys and he told me that HTA was done with and past his time and he couldnt get anything from him and than hes sent back to Tonys and bang his back.

Tonys got the right stuff when training a horse ;)

Yep, win number 75 along with 64 placings from 237 starts and 1.31 million in stakes. Tony went pretty close in the Marathon Stakes with Shardons rocket as well.

Just a marvellous old campaigner is Has The Answers ..he reminds me of so many other grand old pacers of yesteryear who were still going strong at 10yo+ the likes of Binshaw, Pure Steel, Morgan James, Village Kid, Rite, Indian Chant just to name a few.

Win number 76 as easy as you like and another 13 grand in the kitty. And $1.30 for the win was truly (and I rarely if ever back odds on, especially this short) absolute screaming value. From Barrier 1 over 2130m against a pretty ordinary lot, he was never going to get beaten and just to make sure, he skipped home in 56.1. He is an extraordinary horse.

The one thing you can't argue with are results. And as unorthodox as he is, he gets outstanding results ........every week..........and sometimes, twice a week!!
