Belmont R1. Westspeed 3yo Handicap Preview - Matt Rigby
Petrenui looks the goods again here despite the rise in weight. The only chance I see of toppling him is Miami Horror, who did all the work last time. Still, that might not be even close to turning the tables. Miami Horror can lead here with Field of Valour keepign him honest. Petrenui could get the perfect trail. I cant see Playhouse Theatre getting past those two.

Man on the Run should lead with Buyback adding the pressure. Tranquila
Sunrise can also add to that up front pressure. Either way, there should
be decent speed, which suits Make Your Move and Commended. The latter
looks like he will also appreciate the 1400m.
1. MAKE YOUR MOVE - 4. COMMENDED
November Red just missed the prize, held up for a good part of the straight and over run by a horse that had clear running (Keepers Court), last week. Between them, Sonny Biscay, McScar and Numerous Secrets will ensure a good pace here, giving November Red and Maschino the last dip. Maschino in his best form, wins this easily but I didnt see enough in the trial to suggest that. Jarrad Noske however is the perfect rider for this horse. He'll ride him cold and let him rip down the outside. Ive tipped against him, possibly at my peril. Pop Culture and Numerous Secrets the other chances.
4. NOVEMBER RED - 1. MASCHINO - 6. NUMEROUS SECRETS
Dash for Home was brilliant first up last campaign and that run sticks with me. He will probably win this but I think he's about the right price or a little under. Wookah had no luck in the Hannans after finishing close up in the Coolgardie Cup. At near on double figures, he's the spec horse here. Festival Star has come back well this campaign and should also enjoy the pace put on by Rontomdan, who sped away in both trials. Miss vinnoire goes well fresh, but bar shoes on concerns me. McBlitzam a chance, but up in class.
7. DASH FOR HOME - 3. WOOKAH - 5. FESTIVAL STAR
I wont tip against Buster's Empire here, but he's no good thing. He'll probably sit outside the speedy type Donnyonetime. This makes him slightly vunlerable, but only if Stacks On and In His Hands put their best feet forward. Stacks on is a little hard to catch, but this race looks perfect for her. The blinkers come off In His Hands and I think theyll be looking for a trail right behind the speed. Success Park is the knockout chance. I dont like Hearts of Fire at 1000m.
5. BUSTER'S EMPIRE - 2. STACKS ON - 7. IN HIS HANDS
A bit of madness from me here. I have six runners that close together, I'll go for the longest priced runner in Ginsberg. He has a surprisingly good first up record, even though he doesnt trial. O'donnell is the key. Rebel Fury probably should have beaten Excelorada had Brown held his ground. The horse lost lengths becoming unbalanced on the turn. Blacksmith improved and should get the lead again in this. He's the best horse on his day. Miss Tahitian, Merimbula and Modello also good chances Great race.
5. GINSBERG - 2. REBEL FURY - 3. MISS TAHITIAN
California Valley will be my pick, getting to the top and being hard to run down. He has run the staying trips before in the east. Starlight Lady is the obvious danger based on her last few runs and with the Pontiff to steer. Kim Ability was expertly ridden last start by McGruddy, but Burnett goes on from the wide barrier, he could get posted. Im not a Monsili or Sax on the Beach fan. Drive West can improve, but probalby needs to go forward.
3. CALIFORNIA VALLEY - 2. STARLIGHT LADY - 4. KIM ABILITY(NZ)
Big Attitude is the tip here despite the weight. The rest are an average
bunch and while I dont have a big opinion of Big Attitude, hes probably
better than these, even with the 60kg. Knight Fury is in no form at all
and Rebelson was just a run last start and has to step out against the
older horses. Pace could be the concern, perhaps Bentonian again.
1. BIG ATTITUDE - 2. KNIGHT FURY - 10. REBELSON
