Happened to catch a replay of the Wildcats opener.
Don't know much about the opposition (Adelaide), but the way the Cats destroyed them suggests the Title is theirs to lose early doors.
Coming off an unbeaten pre-season too.
Both players interviewed afterwards mentioned the tightness of the group, and the fact that the squad is 3 years in the making and ready to roll.

All buoyant signs for taking the 9/4 available, cause most other markets have tightened to 7/4 8)

    New Zealand is the team to beat. Wildcats needs their players to be fit. Some players the cats has have showed signs of getting injuries easily. Kings are hard to beat especially if they get Bogut.

    Sadly there won't be any NBA for a good while mate. First two weeks getting canned is only the tip of the iceberg.

    Yes, but for him to be playing here in a month, they'd have to still be arguing in a month (regardless of when actually starting to play).
    If dispute is settled, or looking like being settled - he will be on the next plane (or calling his pilot to warm the engines)

    Don't care what anyone says, when it comes to sport in this State, this is by far the most accompolished Team going around.
    Finalists 23 years in a row (yes 23!) and travelling fairly to eclipse the current (equal) NBL record of 5 NBL Titles, this Season.
    Get through this road trip in even fashion, and the Title is their's to lose...

    When channel gossage shows the game at midnight it is a bit hard to keep in touch

    Right about the lack of coverage, hard to drum up interest when you CAN'T SEE OR HEAR IT!

    Disappointing to let the lead slip late, but just have to wipe the slate clean at home and force the decider. Not looking to lay off just yet!

    Heard that Player failed to pay up the last component of their Sponsorship agreement, hence the blacked out logos on the playing tops, can anyone confirm the story there

    David Shortte said the reason was that when the sponsorship was being negotiated the Wildcats informed them that the logos were not allowed in NZ and the final deal reflected that.

    Still can't believe they can't show the game live, they give preference to bold & beautiful (10), brady bunch (11) & donkey rding world championships (1) or some similar crap on 3 channels...

    And then yesterdays back page is about whether 3 wce players are on holiday or injured thus missing travelling 4,000km for a training session

    WA once known as the state of excitment, well that is what the number plates said...

    Wow.. , the NBL has grown from a small competition with just a few hundred fans to a league that attracts more than 750,000 spectators every season plus prime-time TV audiences for live games...!
