Vital Edition has won 3 on the bounce and at his latest victory eased past Desert Glow who finished third in last years Geraldton Cup and Dubai Escapade who finished a fast finishing third behind Young Lionel at Ascot last Saturday in a race with much more quality than this. Has had three runs before over 2000m+ including at Ascot in the 2013 St Leger behind ill-fated Crumpet O'Reilly who unfortunately died in a track accident earlier this year after being transferred to Victorian trainer Darren Weir and in the Listed Melvista Stakes behind Ihtsahymn. Carries only 57kg after Azzopardi's claim and looks excellently placed to notch a fourth straight victory. Savanarola went under as an odds on favourite in midweek company, blinkers removed, his previous form was sound enough. This Cat Rocks was beaten by heavily supported McAuliffe runner Oratism on a Saturday but gains a 4kg advantage here with Lucy's claim. Can sit handy or roll along out in front and prove hard to catch.

Was annoyed that I missed getting on the quaddie as you often do, getting sidetracked on course, pretty easy after the first leg and paid nearly 10k.

I missed the $61 Octavius but I wasn't far from it plus handy novelties. Good to see others get a profitable result on the Pop Star.

Disposition the clear standout on the card, the riding on display today was ordinary at best.

I suppose when you look at it @mailman505 there was no incentive for EB to win prior to the weights being released for the Railway. Not a good look at all :-\" You know I actually thought this and ignored it! The only way she wins that race is if he tak...

Normally drawing the rails would be toxic for EB but today it was probably the difference between winning and losing. However, I still think she was a bit off her first up run.
