Moment of truth
Well I am certainly not sold on Tanjier to be the next big thing in WA racing but if he has any measurable talent at all he should be beating this lot. Not a lot of depth outside probably the top 3 and this is very, very winnable. His break-through run was outstanding, belting opposition. Scratched from last Saturday over 2100m with a minor issue and assuming he hasn't lost any residual fitness should safely account for these. No fixed odds available as I write the preview so unsure what kind of price we're looking at. Personally I wouldn't be touching anything under $3.50ish. Fathnoxious has regained form and will lead this with relative ease. She is a tough mare to get past in the straight so expect her to look the winner at some stage. Already Famous is a perennial place-getter and you can all but lock him into your multiples every week. Stayers curse second-up is my only concern.
