Unlike the seventh I think we can narrow up the last leg of the quaddie and make it a race between 3 for the Get Out Stakes punters. I'm happy to be on Shinta Mani eachway in this. In my market she has come up at $6 but I think when the corporates go up they'll be mainly centred around Dark Musket and Star Exhibit who come from the higher class stayers race and that should mean Shinta Mani is closer to the $10 mark than to $5. Anything over 6s is a good price in my opinion for a mare who has won two in a row and looks a future top classer. Jason Whiting has elected to ride her over Dark Musket and that's a lead I can not ignore. 'Fish' has ridden Dark Musket at his previous 6 races including the Kingston Town and Perth Cup and to stay with Shinta Mani shows his opinion of the 4 year old Viscount mare. Eachway all day on her. Star Exhibit proved any doubters wrong at his first attempt at a trip, however, he got an absolute gem of a run behind the leaders on the fence, this is harder. Dark Musket the third of the chances. PTT Quad: 1,2,3,4,5, / 2,3,5,8,10 / Fld / 2,3,12 - $100 = 8.33%

Due to Baraki Beats poor form on rain effected ground, perhaps the stewards are concerned that connections thought there was no point going forward and pressuring the stablemate Gigante. I have no problem with that as long as punters are informed of the change...

From the stewards report:BARAKI BEATS – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Had a tendency to lay outwards throughout running. Jockey R. Hill was questioned in relation to the gelding racing in a rearward position today as compared to its normal racing...

Was there some dramatic betting fluctuations in some of the races from this program ? I'm told Stewards have adjourned an inquiry into Race 6. Wasn't the move in the price from just $9 to $8 ?

Yes Saxy can be in the finish. My selection is (not normally one of mine) Verdello Blue It is ready to run a race up in distance with the claim and is a great each way bet. Quinella it and Saxy Grace.
