Usually people are lining up to buy raffle tickets in these 62+ No Metro Win grade stayers events but I'm actually pretty keen on two of them here, both at odds. Truly Gold comes out of as weak a race as you'll see in the 1900m York grind. He's under $4 and I'll be taking him on at those odds. Desert Glow was produced first-up at 2150 in Saturday grade and whacked away well behind Uncle George and subsequent Bunbury Cup winner Cougar Express. Taking natural fitness improvement from that and dropping sharply in grade I think the 2015 Broome Cup winner should be a handy eachway investment. Saxon Saxoff steps up to a suitable journey for the first time this preparation and should find the lead with absolute ease here. Randy Tan takes 3kg off and carrying only 51kg when left alone out in front and allowed to dictate terms I think Saxon Saxoff can run a cheeky race. Those two will be my eachway plays in the race. Reset's Mate was excellent in the AHA Cup and then disappointing in the Bunbury Cup. If you forgive and forget that run then he's right in the mix here.
