Happy to stick my neck out in a race where most tipsters will either jump aboard the favourite or hide in the corner with their phone on silent. Putting Fabulistic on top and having a nibble at the $26 eachway. Won 2 in a row at Ascot before being ridden upside down when leading in the race won by Thunderclap Newman. Ran second to Diversicolor who he meets 2kg better at the weights and then ran a very credible seventh beaten only 2.5 lengths behind The Dankster last weekend. Finished alongside Bjorn to Love, Wombies Legacy and Dark Delight who would be short priced favourites in this. Rough gig out of barrier 11 but only 53kg on his back. Tipping the other Turquoise Parnham horse in Royal Rada for second, again at the $26 mark, Jake Casey elects to ride him over Wotchinyu and Fabulistic, he meets Thread Lock 2.5kg better at the weights for a luckless third and can turn the tables. Team Mathews are in form and Thread Lock looks one of the hardest to beat.

he copped over $1500 for the same event on one of ours about 4 years ago.....Obviously the more you do the wrong thing the less your penalized...Funny system, not sure its the best way to change behaviours though :-/
