Flirt to cap off big day for Yannick
This race is a form student's nightmare and our initial markets came up with eight runners with genuine winning chances, but the horse with the best form is (4) NO TIME TO FLIRT, who drops back to Great Southern racing after finishing only 2-1/2 lengths behind the third placegetter in the listed Starstruck Classic (1600m) at Ascot 20/12. Previous metro form was sound and she has performed well at her three previous starts at this track. Doesn't win very often at all, but this certainly looks set up for her. (11) IHTS RIVETING should be ready to produce his best after two runs back from a spell, and looks suited stepping up to the mile from an inside barrier. Drops 2.5kg and we expect him to run a big race at each-way odds. (8) BARELY RICH finally broke through against moderate opposition at Albany 26/12, but the win was strong enough and her previous form was okay. Capable of running a race here at odds, and (7) SOFTEIS has been knocking on the door in recent weeks and more often than not gives his backers a run for their money.
