I think this is the race of the day and you can make a genuine case for a number of the runners. I've settled on the Simon Miller trained Corvara who went to the line on debut as untouched as an indicator in New Delhi. Put on a galloping exhibition, slaughtering a horse like Detente who was backed off the charts at Ascot midweek. If Mitchell can find the fence and run this race as a typical rack and stack affair then Corvara will be incredibly hard to catch. Patrimonio has chased hard at each and every run this preparation since his first-up victory at Pinjarra. Jordan Turner jumps aboard with Carbery electing to stay with Brisanto, another who looks to have winning claims in an open 3 year old race. Forever Diamonds was super first-up when unleashing a powerful burst down the centre of the track before struggling in the Challenge Stakes, a form reference which has already held up through Who Dat Singa and Black Dynamite. Many winning chances and a race where I'll be keeping the wallet shut tightly.
