R7. Crown Perth-belgravia Stakes - 1 January 1970

King to Rule
While I acknowledge this is his toughest test yet I just have the feeling that Rebel King can win the Belgravia and book himself a flight to Melbourne as WA's newest Sprint sensation. I think with only 57.5 on his back, drawn perfectly in barrier 5 and the way he blew away some very handy horses a recent trial suggests he has returned in perfect order. Amorino, Express Service, Elite Belle, Respondent and Beach Express couldn't get near him on that occasion and while I believe he is a much better 1000m horse he should have the speed and power to hold out the rest of them over 1200m first-up. Fuld's Bet is undefeated and a highly talented filly but probably aimed at races further along the card and not fully wound up yet. Williams trio Disposition, Silverstream and Sleepy Striker are also undefeated and will pose huge dangers. Originally sent out at $4.80 on Bet365 I was luck enough to secure some of the $4 available on Wednesday night, albiet only a small percentage of what I would have liked. Looking to win his 5th straight race and expecting opinions to be divided on who wins this. I think Palace Intruder can be a sharp improver as can Rommel at big odds. Exciting group of 3 year olds headed by one of WA's newest big names.
