Mississippian seems to have turned a corner and his last start victory was emphatic. Easy to follow in the last he is the one with a big white blaze on his face and white socks, an incredibly "showy" horse as I'm sure Darren will repeat. Looking for 3 on the bounce and why would anybody tip against Pike/Peters/Williams with the way they are rolling? Pike to carry us home in the exact same fashion as last Saturday - with absolute ease. Prohurst Express meets Mississippian 2kg better at the weights and should get a much easier run from barrier 1, the main danger. Roman Fighter was gone before the bend after locking horns with Real Icon. He should improve sharply ridden a little more patiently by Hall. Finally, as a whole hearted Freo Supporter I say "Up The Hawks".
