Sujet to bounce back
I would argue that while beaten 3.8 lengths Sujet's last start effort was one of his best to date. Settled a day off the leaders on a heavily leader bias track and couldn't keep up after a mere 100m, tailed off last. Under the whip with 600m to go he did let down strongly in the straight to make up a stack of ground. Dawn Approach has since won the Mungrup Sprint and Miss Andretti Stakes in consecutive weeks, a cracking form reference. Will need to chase down a few speedsters in Full Clip and Rusty Peaches who get weight on him, as well as Flytego who will be charging late as well but I think Sujet, potentially settling a little closer will be too hard to hold out. Full Clip was backed off the charts when leading from start to finish and forcing the bookies to reach for their cheque books, carries a mere 54kg and can win again. Rusty Peaches meets Sujet 4kg better for being beaten only 1.5 lengths, should again run a drum. Flytego is super consistent and again has genuine eachway claims.
