Three At Odds

Selections

Looking to play three different horses in the second leg of the quaddie, a capacity line up of Saturday grinders. There are definitely no world beaters in this race and I have settled on two horses who arguably come out of stronger form-lines. You can make a case for almost everything in this race and if your opinion is vastly different to mine then that is to be expected in a race like this. Present Arms and Battle King both come from form lines containing gallopers like: Verdello Blue, Dust Me Off, Don'tgetcaught and Ready To Fire, horses who I consider to be a class, albeit a small class, above the rest of the opposition in this race. Present Arms I am willing to give one, very last chance too. From barrier 14 Pike has his work cut out but at $8 I will invest. Battle King has a heinous career record but the last two starts have been good so on an eachway basis, places heavy, I will invest at $26. Tommy Toocan is a Black Tom gelding on the 3 day back-up from Wednesday carrying only 53kg. He can definitely figure at odds in this race and is the third horse I will be playing around $19 eachway. Hopefully one of my three can win!

They have tried the cutaway, changing when barriers are drawn and now instead of having a 7 race card they are trying throwing a 4UP maiden as the 1st race. Hopefully this helps. Early days yet - there was 5 1/2 lengths between 2nd and 3rd - how long will own...

Sad state of affairs, saturday race day and only a few comments. Has everyone had enough of the bull$hit?? Hard to get excited when you start with a maiden, followed by a 2 horse race and not much better after that :-S
