R6. Tectonics Costruction Handicap - 1 January 1970
|
Quality to prevail
This race looms as the highlight of the day with the clash between ultra-impressive last-start maiden winners (1) QUALITY FAIR and (2) RUN LIAM RUN, and we have (1) QUALITY FAIR marginally on top over the 1100 metres here. Looks as though apprentice Mitchell Pateman should be able to park midfield, off the rail, work his way into the race without any hassles and prove too sharp for them in the straight. (2) RUN LIAM RUN possesses fantastic acceleration, but we suspect he may drift too far back in running and may also find it difficult to get clear running from his inside barrier draw. Should still be steaming home at the finish. (8) SECURE THE SKY is the best of the rest, having been freshened-up since disappointing at Mount Barker 16/11 last start. Usually leads or races on-pace and on her best form has to be considered, and (7) MISS SOPHIE ROSE was specked at each-way odds last start but ran into a brick wall when improving in the straight. She could add some value to your First Fours.

She Bares All gets in well here. Expected around $2.5-$3. Currently around $5 fixed and I can't let it go by.
