Black Heart Bart, WA's best Maiden galloper until he finally broke through first-up over 1000m without a trial at Bunbury. Placed behind Respondent and Ihtahymn last preparation he was flying in the Asian Beau and needs this win to get a run in the Group 1 Railway Stakes next weekend. Meets every single runner better at the weights and ran a faster final 600 than any of them. Drawn perfectly in barrier 2 this is his best chance to date to score a deserved Group Victory. Sure to have both his admirers and his critics but I think he is as good a bet as any here. Wroughted settled a long, long way back in the Asian Beau and hit the line hard. Expect him to settle much handier to the speed and be right there in the finish. Bass Strait ran an eye catcher on debut in WA having crossed from Victoria and is another in the mix.

Interesting that he stayed off the rail majority of the race therefore not needing to shift out on the turn. This when the inside was gold all day and Delicacy absolutely hammered on betfair before jump! Hall said in the post race interview he could see the...

Pike was using the whip in his right hand just as Hall was taking what looked to be a narrow gap on the inside. If he's trying to give the stable mate room surely he wouldn't be encouraging it to roll in?

From the stewards Stewards to consider all the evidence and also to review betting records Delicacy's odds near enough halved just before the jump. Work with that stewards!

Well Pike sure wasn't looking around so if there is anything suss it certainly didn't look that way. Although as @legless suggested, the front on camera angle may reveal something else. Silverstream faded out of the race badly. I wouldn't be surprised if he hu...
