The best race of the day here with some really good types engaged, its hard to leave some of these out of the selections such is the depth in this field. In the end will go for Stagnite, four wins from five starts including the Breeders Stakes during the Bunbury carnival over this distance. He was quite impressive last week when grinding out a win over Lenience, once again Pike managed to get his mount home in a close finish, that is also a consideration when he hops on board any horse. Possibly the barrier a little worry, but again thats probably offset by Pike on board, if he can get into this field he has to be hard to beat once again. Trade Down has been racing brilliantly this campaign, he just failed to get to McScar last start, the only blemish in his last four starts, the rise to 58.5kgs is the problem, and the main reason he isnt the outright selection today. Dream Lifter is another very nice type, he was a close third in the McScar race, and likewise rises considerably in weight today, always a good chance though, and the each way knockout chance could be Songburg, the rise to 1400 metres suits for sure, she should be powering home at the end of this race. Rock Magic and Paseo Del Prado add great depth to this race also.
