Can Fonz win two?

Never thought I'd be backing Fonzarelli on a Saturday at Belmont Park but here I am. With a rare win to his name two starts ago he then stepped into a very solid 1200m sprint where he bumped into the likes of Miss Rose De Lago, Antique Belle and Miki Two Toes, beating home the latter two. This is no where near as strong a field as that and these days he looks more suited to 1400m. Drawn awkwardly in barrier 11 but Lucy is in tremendous form and the race should pan out nicely for him with Shravan and Alvares running them along out in front. Has been extremely consistent since joining the Warwick stable and looks, remarkably, a fairly safe eachway investment. The Director chased hard at his first start over 7 furlongs in midweek company behind talented Miller gelding Eurosun, got a long way back and charged to the line. Expecting a fair few tipsters to be jumping aboard his bandwagon. In the spirit of The Bachelor finale I will throw Bachelor's Prospect in for third, sure to improve with the return of Ben Kennedy to the saddle, who has ridden him to all 3 victories.

I would understand that comment IF OB had drawn further out than barrier 5,but barrier1 is the last thing you would instruct your rider to do!Mr M Campbell, you have alot of explaining to do!

Shame about the weather (mid to late arvo) for the meeting, but seemed like there was a pretty good crowd on hand and all seemed in good spirits - the club need one or two more of these 'days' throughout the Belmont season, as the three country specific 'days'...
