This is a race I'll be playing with extreme caution and probably taking the field in the quaddie. There are a number of horses outside the favourite who are at attractive prices. Flying Time seldom misses a place second up and for up and coming 3kg claimer Tayla Stone must be included, New Time is a 1400m specialist who gets blinkers on, Stagnite a forgotten commodity with an abundance of ability, Wroughted who chased incredibly hard first-up and has Jarrad Noske in the saddle to keep him honest, Fathnoxious who has won 4 from 11 at the track and Palace Intruder who was the target of constant backing last week from 126 into 19. So Who's Harry faced his toughest test to date last start and came through with flying colours but I think this is a leg of the quaddie where we could get a blowout result. Man Booker drawn barrier 1, with W.Pike into the saddle and back to Belmont Park has caught my attention. Racing well below his best but should improve sharply. Run Liam Run was far from disgraced last start and can turn the tables on the favourite. Stagnite hasn't saluted for a while now but watch for him when he re-unites with Pikey.

They should have got the Antonov to land there. Can you believe 20,000 people turned out to watch a routine landing ? Nothing routine about it!

The Italian nonnas didn't turn up with their home made arancini balls and zeppole. Not much of a turn out by the Italian community. Don't blame them. Just some commercial food stalls. Day lacked character. PR shooting itself in the foot again. NFI.

Anyone on course ? It sounds quiet on radio............... Damien the crowd was ok but I think the Italian day thing was better attended whether they were punters or not. The Italians are a passionate type of people and I think the day should be reinstated ...
